Ever since I was a little girl I loved being in the water. I would pretend I was a mermaid in my very own waterworld. I could spend hours in the water, lost in my own imagination. I would crave warm summers filled with pool trips. I knew photographing Ashlyn's underwater experiences would be very special. Taking these pictures of Ashlyn reminded me of my early water fascination. The sense of pride that overcomes you when you first learn to swim. The joy and excitement that every trip to the pool can bring. The wonder and magic that's found under the water. I look forward to the chance to capture more children's moments underwater.
