Does anyone remember candid camera? Well Mandy texted me and said hey can we hire you to do our maternity portraits at the Dazey Den in Palm Springs? I want to wear Rachel Burke @imakestagram jackets and shoes I crafted while in a blow up heart pool with disco balls, flowers, cut up fruit and a little blow up unicorn. Ha, I was looking around my place thinking how has Mandy read my mind? I haven’t even had a chance to see her in seven years and she is in my mind speaking my dreams outloud (via text). So happy day to me and the most beautiful cool girl Mandy and her so rad husband Jared who I finally met in a midcentury modern dream home with several outfit changes and a whole lot of dancing.
If this shoot was all a dream, no one tell me, because it was the best fever dream ever and I am the luckiest photographer.
Pro Tips for planning a creative session.
*A great location that tells a story @dazey_desert_house *Outfits that you love and feel good in that relate to the story the location is telling. *Hair and Make up that relate to aforementioned story. *An awesome attitude and willingness to have a good time. *Bonus points for disco balls, pompoms, crafted pieces, and blow up pools/floats

Room change, outfit change! Yes to this jacket! This jacket was on my vision board friends and with the coolest hat. Ok I’m probably coming off a little Mandy obsessed at this point.
But she’s just so cool and room change. I love the whole vibe of these. Almost a little boudouir vibe.
I love making a few out of focus. It gives it such a painterly vibe.

I can’t wait to meet the little sunshine who is going to wear this onsie. A few more double exposure images while Mandy is making another rad outfit change. That’s right friends, we are not done yet.
