Shewanders visits Idyllwild-Pine Cove and found a little piece of mountainous fall heaven.
So close to San Diego and a little like Yosemite. We decided to have a creative break. What fun it is to hike and write sitting under colorful trees while Mike tries to kill himself on his mountain bike. I prefer living, so I only rode the bike in the parking lot, which was a little uneven and even that felt like I was risking something. We stayed at the wildest designer Motel. Yup that’s right. It was so fun. HIcksville Pines you are incredibly hilarious. There is a cabin for roasting stores a bar where all games are free including a Batman Pinball where I beat Mike and an amazing hockey game where despite my insane and provocative shock and awe strategies Mike prevailed. And then my friends, we played darts. It was so embarrasing. Mike kept changing the rules in my favor because I was playing so badly. Ugh. It’s like he thought I was going to quit if I didn’t win. So I kept trying and trying to prove him wrong but ultimately he won which isn’t as good of an ending as me making an amazing comeback and taking the game. But alas, Mike is way way and a third way better at darts then me.
