“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” – Robert Louis Stevenson
Adventures in Iceland
“You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will live as one.” ― John Lennon
From Mike:
Iceland is hard to describe. I get asked about it all the time. I'm always a bit hesitant with my first words. I notice people watching me closely as I'm about to speak. Then I say something like..Its the most amazing, weirdest, favorite place to be. Then I realize that is not really grammatically correct and that doesn't even come close to doing it justice.
There are thousands of waterfalls, hundreds of volcano's, rolling green hills. You see huge desert mountains next to steep cliffs and goats nearly everywhere. Rivers and bays run next to huge boulders and lava fields. You are surrounded by the ocean and glaciers. Animals dot the scenery as well. There are beautiful wild horses, Icelandic sheep that can scale any mountain, and birds that will attack you as soon as you leave your tent...and that's just day one...
